Today is Giveaway Day!

Today begins an exciting week of a giveaway organized by the fabulous bloggers at Sew Mama Sew! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog.

I am giving away a copy of my “Look, Llamas!” quilt pattern and one yard of Laurie Wisbrun fabric to use for the center blocks in the quilt.

PatternPage

I am a big fan of Laurie’s fabrics, and I designed this quilt pattern specifically to feature this cute Llama print. I will let the winner choose the Llama print they would like to use in their quilt from Laurie’s Etsy shop. There are these Oh, La Llamas that I used in my quilt (sorry the image is a little small),

Llama1

There are these cute Spring Llamas,

Llama2

or these cute Holiday Llamas,

Llama3

…..or, perhaps you would prefer to use the adorable Donkeys in Wellies….

donkeys

Regardless of the print you choose, it is sure to be adorable. I have to admit that I think llamas are beautiful. They have such amazing eyes. And those eyelashes! Have you ever seen a llama?

So, for a copy of my pattern and one yard of Laurie’s fabric (which is enough for the center of the blocks), please leave me a comment. And, of course, I would love it if you would follow my blog, but that is not a requirement!

The giveaway ends at 5 pm on May 10th and I will email the winner no later than May 12th. I will be choosing the winner using a Random Number Generator.

Be sure to click on over to Sew, Mama, Sew to see the complete list of participating sites for this fun giveaway week.

Thanks again for stopping by!

  28. Years ago we were somewhere in New England and went hiking with llamas. The owner of the llamas did this as a tourist attraction of sorts and it was very cool, especially for the kids in our group. The llamas were on leashes like dogs and were good companions. My son was about 10 at the time and I have a hilarious photo of him standing just about nose to nose with a llama.

  29. I love your quilt and the llamas are very cute, but if I win, I´ll choose the donkey fabric. I think they look really cool 🙂

I remember going to the state fair when i was younger and going around the animal pens, my mother would point out all of the exotic animals while all i really wanted to do was cuddle with the bunnies for hours on end… llamas were one of the animals that kind of weirded me out but at the same time made me want to see if i could ride them (by this time i was far too large for our dog to tote around anymore). Alas my dreams of llama riding were crushed as soon as i got a whiff of the pen. They do look so fetching in their spring scarves on fabric though… and less stinky as well. Thanks for the chance to win!

I have seen llamas before, on farms in my home province (Saskatchewan). I’m not quite sure why people are llama ranching up there, but some of them are! (I also once saw an emu on the side of the highway. An emu. In Canada. In the middle of the prairies, miles away from any towns, or, you know, zoos.)

LOL
